What does Valley of Peace do?
Valley of Peace is a non-profit, non-stock, faith-based organization committed to helping bring transformation and empowerment to the grassroot communities of Puerto Galera with collaborative efforts with other members of the Body of Christ.
:: Uses the Word to work towards transformation
Valley of Peace believes that genuine transformation can only take place through the intervention of the Spirit of God.
:: Venue for Capacity Building
Valley of Peace is a venue for capacity building of individuals, families, institutions and organizations.
VOP offers trainings, seminars and courses with special integration of spirituality and culture. Our programs provide deeper knowledge and undertsanding to the psycho-sociological make-up of the Filipinos, consequently assisting participants to navigate their way to genuine spirituality.
VOP also offers retreat and family/group/organizational thematic activity. These activities are designed for individuals and organizations. Retreat provides spiritual refreshment and rest, which help individuals become more productive in their workplace and as well as to their personal lives. Thematic activity is a recreational and fun-filled experience that bonds the ideals of individuals and institutions, thus contributing to the attainment of corporate goals and objectives.
:: Put poverty to an end
The organization provides free livelihood skills training to the local community of Puerto Galera as a response to the UN-Millennium Development Goals (UN-MDG) and to the call of Micah Challenge in cutting poverty into half by 2015.
